PIPE BURSTING, COST-EFFECTIVE AND PRACTICAL ALTERNATIVE TO EXCAVATION

Pipe Bursting is a practical and cost-effective alternative to heavy excavation trying to locate and repair a broken pipe. Pipe Bursting is the repair or replacement method in which a new pipe is literally pulled through the old one, simultaneously fracturing the old pipe and replacing it. A hydraulic or pneumatic expansion head (part of the bursting tool) is pulled through the existing pipeline, typically by using a cable and winch. This method typically requires minor digging to create an access hole on either side of the lateral.

This is a trenchless method of replacing buried pipelines (such as sewer, water, or natural gas pipes) without the need for a traditional construction trench. "Launching and receiving pits" replace the trench needed by conventional pipe-laying.

When the time comes to repair or replace certain underground plumbing elements, homeowners should look to find the most cost effective and safe method possible. While it is difficult to actually see, the plumbing in a home is vital to the operation of the home. A backed-up sewer line or ruptured pipe isn't just costly, it can be dangerous as well.

Reduce Site Damage

Typically, repairing underground pipes require an excessive amount of digging to gain access to the damaged area, which could damage landscaping, driveway, and sidewalk. The pipe bursting method only requires a small access hole to be dug to reach the pipe. Because there is less digging, there is less chance of property damage.

Pipe bursting is one of the safest and most cost-effective plumbing repair options available to homeowners. The pipe-bursting method is a more environmentally-friendly approach by reducing property damage, and the repair and cleanup,
